Search engine Optimization (SEO) – The right process to increase your blog visibility

search-engine-optimization

Search engine optimization is one of the key ingredients in blogging, in fact to me; I called it the “behind the scene of blogging”. However, some few years ago when I started out as a novice blogger, all that was on my mind then was just create any how blog and put contents inside.

I never knew the meaning of SEO and also the important, in fact then I was limited to the number of things that I knew. Not because I wasn’t smart, but because I was ignorant of them.

So also some bloggers today, you may be new in blogging, or you chose your niche outside blogging tips; like entertainments, fashion, health etc. You keep hearing about SEO but you never have the opportunity to know what it means.

Then you are in the right place. For any blogger to be successful with his/her blog, you need to know about SEO and it efficacy when it comes to blogging. Therefore, I have taken time out to explain what SEO really means in a very simple and explanatory ways. Just fasten your sit belt and let’s roll.

What is Search engine optimization (SEO)?

Just relax, and don’t be freak out with the acronym “SEO”. It’s a simple word that stands for SEO- search engine optimization. When we break the word into two: search engine + optimization, then I can say how often can your websites or blogs been seen on Google, yahoo etc? In another term, it can be define as a means by which you make your blog or website more attractive to search engines like Google, yahoo, Bing etc.

therefore, if you really want success out of your blog, then you need to optimize every bit of your blog for search engines. All you have to do is to fine tune your post title, content of your blog and also along with your HTML and the inclusion of Meta tags with some link building techniques.

Guess you are confused? Don’t be….. Because you’ll get it now. Though SEO might sound confusing and kind of intimidating, but at the long run it pays big for those that knows it. Moreover, we are all aware that search engines hide their strategies, methods and the ranking of algorithms secret because it’s the brain behind the valuable searches they provide.

And so, many factors are considered before search engine can rank and list any websites. Algorithm can be differ from one another, in that a web page that ranks #1 in a particular search engine could be ranked #100 in another search engine for the same keyword used. However, with the brief introduction we discussed earlier, you now have an insight of what search engine optimization stands for.

Therefore, one of the first things to know when you set up a blog or website is to submit the blog to search engines like Google yahoo, AOL and MSN Search etc. Getting backlinks from a strong established blog is also an added advantage. And this is where commenting and deep participation in forums comes in place.

Link from reputable sites always make search engine to visit your new blog and then begin to spider it content for proper indexing. You need to be told that search engine optimization (SEO) is the process you need to keep your blog alive.

Conclusively, for you to stay on top, you need to keep optimizing your blog on daily basis. The moment you stop optimizing your website for search engines, is the day you give you competitor that license to override you. We all know search engine optimization requires a lot of hard work and mind, but the fact still remains that I contribute immensely to the growth of your site. Therefore, SEO is never endless, so keep doing what you think is SEO right.

5 Researched Reason Why Some Bloggers Refused to Guest Post

guest-post

The questions most of the time is; should we just be a part of a building team, write for pity or what we’ve always wanted is to get backlink that’ll increase our page rank? I believe these are some of the questions most bloggers battled with in their minds, which eventually which eventually keep some of them away from guest posting.

On several occasions, I have reads blogs that wrote on how to increase one’s blog visibility with guest posting, but with all this campaign and emphasis, some bloggers still never find their strength in guest posting on other blogs.

In case you never noticed, I did and for a while I’ve been researching on some reasons while you as a person refuse to guest post. Be it top level blog or average blogs.

Now let’s answer these following questions in our minds.
 Are you contented with your daily page views?
 Do you think you’ve built enough relationship with other bloggers?
 Is your blog exposed to the level you want?
 Have you gotten the page rank you desire?

Each and every one of these questions is turned to have one or two effects on your blogging strategy. I believe no blogger is never okay with his/her daily page views because we all want millions of daily visitors on our blog.

So also when we talk about page rank; we all want to have PR 9 like Facebook and Google right? And some newbies aspire to be like Darren Rowse, the CEO of problogger.net.

Therefore, if we all aspire and desire all these, then why have we all chose the part of not guest posting? The following reasons why some bloggers refuse to guest post was actually fetch out from interviews, and discussion I had with both new bloggers and few bloggers that already gotten their legs thatched in blogging industry.

The belief of having fewer articles on their blogs

Actually, I busted into laughter when I interacted with the first blogger. He told me that he only had few article published on his blog then why should he started writing for others. Hmm! That was how I exclaim when he finished talking.

Then I realize that this is actually the key reason why some bloggers are still not guest posting. They believe with the few articles they have in their archive, they’ll be publishing it one after the other and this can reduce their times of sitting down and writing every time.

More grease to the elbow of a young man, Adetechblog. He had few post on his blog, and he never consider this first point as a way to pull him off from guest posting, because he knows the efficacy of guest posting. My advice for you is to start guest posting on top blogs today if you’ve not started. Because there is more to it than what you see.

Fear of Rejection

I do tell people that “you cannot know what you can do, unless you try them”. Trying and self-belief is one of the key to success in life. You don’t have to take up fear, all because you want to guest post. Though some bloggers, especially the newbies are willing to be a guest blogger, but they are scared because they might be rejected by the top bloggers, all because they are not sure of their competency when it comes to writing. You need to keep trying until you get there, and don’t forget that practice makes perfection. Therefore keep on writing.

Time Schedule

I met with some bloggers and they said most times they find it difficult to update their blog because of time factor, therefore I can’t just guest post. I believe with good planning strategy, things can be done effectively where by your work will not be affected by your blogging.

Then if we are to follow this point, then everybody should be busy. But we still have some people that create time, out of no time to do what they love. I personally have passion for writing and blogging; therefore I have my personal time table which I follow every day. I think you should implement that too.

Ignorance

I need to tell you that some people are totally ignorant of guest posting and also the benefit attached to it. Most especially those bloggers that are not in blogging niche.

I think people needs to be told about the benefits of guest posting, because we have loads of benefits and advantages that you stand to gain from guest posting. Especially when you guest post on top blogs in your niche and which have high page rank.

Some of the benefits of guest posting are:
Increase in daily traffic
Blog exposure
You’ll have more subscribers
 Your backlink will increase
Then you’ll build a good relationship with top bloggers.

Lack of Direction

This point is also very vital in that most bloggers lack the direction on how to go about guest posting. I’m sure most blogs that does guest post have a page on their blog that gives the guideline on how you can go about guest posting.

Therefore, when you’ve gotten a top blog you’ll like to guest post for, read their likes and dislikes before you proceed in submitting your article to such blog. I believe I’m in line with the reasons why you decided not to guest post? Therefore, take it as a must today and start guest posting.

If you find this article informative, endeavor to share this post with your friends on Facebook  twitter etc. Always come back to read. It’s all about you.

In this modules am about to start, I will reveal some behind the scenes of getting your blog’s page rank increase.

What is page rank?

A very good question that all bloggers should know, but unfortunately some bloggers don’t have any idea on what a page rank is. I often tell people that it is not their fault; I mean for those who doesn’t know what page rank is… all because they started blogging in a wrong niche.

This is one of the questions I answered almost every this week, and even some pro bloggers search Google to get the right answer. Now what is page rank? In a simple and explanatory way, Page Rank is a link analysis algorithm, named after Larry Page and used by the Google web search engine that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyper linked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of “measuring” its relative importance within the set.

I believe you are not confused with this definition? I’ve decide to list the expected date, when will Google update page rank.  These are expected date NOT confirmed. When is the next Google page rank update? This is the aspect everybody wants to read. This is the time when your work is exposed to the world, if you have been commenting on people’s blog to get backlink, publishing high quality contents and other behind the scenes of blogging for better page rank which I will be discussing in subsequent time.

Basically, Google page rank is based on blog backlinks, and how much authority your blog have. High Google page rank often boost all areas of blog; be it marketing, making money, etc. and most especially our site reputation.

Google page rank happens every 3-4 months in a year, which means the last one was suppose to be in July, but Google had their update last February. Below is the schedule of the next Google page rank for 2013.

 1st Update : May be on January 28 to February 6(Confirmed)
  2nd Update : May be on September 29 to 4 October
  3rd Update : May be on 24 December to 29 December

Note: these are the expected dates of the next page rank update, though not confirmed yet but expected. However, peradventure if the next page rank update is September ending, then are you fully prepared? Are your blogs ready to stand the test of time? Set up your mind.

Someone just asked me a very important question.

Should we rely on Google page rank?

Though at first I found it very had to answer this question but later I thought I should bring this to allbloggingcoach readers, because I know you should have better answers to give. Though I’ve seen blogs with page rank of 2 getting more traffic than those with PR5. Is page rank all about traffic or what?

I’ll really appreciate it if everyone reading this post should contribute via our comment box, and let see your own view about” should we rely much on page rank? And is page rank all about traffic generation?” thanks for your patience.
