Leaked photos hint at 2 Sony Xperia smartphones with bezel-less displays. These appear to be major redesign for Xperia lineup in many years.
Sony’s forthcoming bezel-less Xperia smartphones have leaked in the kind of live photos before announcement early next year. The smartphones are expected to be unveiled at CES next month, and will mark Sony’s entry into the bezel-less section.
The photos revealed by GizChina show 2 new Xperia smartphones with very thin top and bottom bezels. The publication is assured that these are photos, and not renders of Sony’s smartphones. These leaked photos show devices that are utterly totally different from existing breed of Sony smartphones.
One of the devices in the picture has rounded corners, whereas the second model has boxlike design almost like existing models. apparently the rear looks to be holding that glossy surface with one getting matte back, and another model that includes curved end with what looks like a semicircle pattern. The report adds that glossy end in center of this back panel can have fingerprint sensor beneath.
Both the models also feature horizontally stacked dual camera modules with setup being similar to that of Apple iPhone 7 and on one model while on the other model, the sensors are oddly unfold apart. it’s not obviously clear whether or not the setup will benefit from extra depth sensing feature since the space between sensors could lead to a parallax result.
Both the smartphones are expected to feature a 5.7-inch 4K display with 18:9 ratio, and are said to be one of the first powered by Qualcomm’s new snapdragon 845 chipset. The leaks recommend the new Xperia smartphones will have 6GB RAM, and run android 8.0 Oreo.
These leaked photos appear to point a design that push the boundaries for smartphone design. they’re far fashionable as compared with existing Xperia smartphones, however these need to be taken with a pinch of salt since it might prove to be just design renders.
