Breaking News: PayPal Accepts Nigeria

There are some things that are shouldn’t be left untold. Just a month ago, some bloggers rally round and threw up the protest against Paypal. Now with much excitement that I share this news that paypal has finally extended its payment services to Nigeria.

paypal-accept-nigeria

Like I earlier said, I remembered I filled a form protesting against why paypal has for long restricted Nigerians from using their services and why Nigerians has dwell so much in online businesses. I believe this is a new era for Nigeria. I heard it as a rumor and confirmed it from Reuters to be credible.

  However, according to Reuters report:

PayPal is entering 10 new countries this week, including Nigeria, providing online payment alternatives for consumers via mobile phones or PCs in markets often blighted by financial fraud. Rupert Keeley, the executive in charge of the EMEA region of PayPal, the payments unit of eBay Inc, said in an interview on Monday the expansion would bring the number of countries it serves to 203. Starting on Tuesday, consumers in Nigeria, which has 60 million users and has Africa’s largest population, along with nine other markets in sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America will be able to make payments through PayPal.

This invariably means that PayPal is extending its payment services to Nigeria from the 17th of June 2014. I think this is interesting to hear. Now my thought is why has Paypal Loosened up their jerk? Does that mean that online business in Nigeria has finally taken shape or what?

For over 10 years, Nigerians have been blacklisted by PayPal so much that there’s a type of scam called Nigerian scam on PayPal forum. This is very annoying you know. And most times I wonder if there are no scamming, no fraud and identity theft in America and all other listed countries.

 So now my question is:

Why has PayPal decided to accept Nigeria into their system?

Good question right?

1. Could it be the protest some good bloggers threw up recently on change.com?i believe they did a wonderful job, we have to speak for a change and it was done.

Many bloggers wrote posts on this same topic and some other bloggers also got inspired and joined the train. We can’t just pay for the sins of the few bad eggs of then.

This is a new age, new technology and we all took it by force. I believe most bloggers know the importance and the extent at which paypal can go. One can hardly do any transaction online that does require the use of paypal.

 2. Could it also have anything to do with the recent exit of that PayPal CEO, David Marcus to Facebook

 3. Or probably they now realize how much they missed earning from a country of over 250 million people with about 60 million internet users and loads of consumers who buy on impulse?

Well no one really know why they change their mind towards Nigerians, but all I know is that.. the time is perfectly right for Nigeria.

  The Benefit

So much to say on this, because I believe many bloggers have been hindered from affiliate marketing because of unavailability of PayPal. So also this is going to boost the confidence of many foreign countries that refused to do businesses with Nigeria in the past, because PayPal indirectly told them not because Nigeria has been blacklisted.

Also the good news is for Nigerians who make money on fiverr, and especially those that make solo ads service, now you can buy and run your gig conveniently as a Nigerian.

Do you just ask what solo ads is? It is a direct mailing to loyal subscribers.

Why you should use solo ads for your business and get leads

• Because it works
• It works for getting clients
• It works to get you in the door
• It works for lead generation
• It works for traffic in to brick and mortar or online
• Every other business is using online communication so it is wide open.

I used a seller for my affiliate marketing promotion and she gave me a good leads with her list, and I make huge sales. You can check HERE .

A proper check and review will be done, and now heading to opened my PayPal account in Nigeria. Will I be able to open my PayPal account without issues? Is PayPal ready to deal with Nigeria Even?

Thanks for taking your time to read this post.

WHO IS A PRO BLOGGER?

Good day fellow bloggers and readers, smile. This is not a debate anyway, but a question that’ll like bloggers to answer. I Purposely put this article together because of the newbies.

who-is-a-pro blogger?

It’s funny right? I mean my introduction. I was thinking of what to write when this blog title came to my mind and I believe we all have one or two things to say about this. Though I’m making this post a free to all, where you can say your mind in the comment box.

Lots of young and new bloggers have been intimidated(so to say) and sugar coated by the so called pro bloggers by passing a wrong information across to then which they’ve vulnerable taken.

According to the research I did, pro-blogger means professional blogger and according to Wiktionary: Professional means

1. A person who belongs to a profession
2. An expert
 3. A person who earn his living from a specified activity.

When I saw this definition, I was like; does that mean I’m a pro blogger too. I wasn’t so convinced with that definition so I listed out some thoughtful questions about been a pro blogger that I’ll want us to answer both within us and inside the comment box. Below are the questions: Who is a pro blogger?

1. A blogger that blogs full time?

See this is a very critical question, because it’s only taking about just one thing. We have bloggers that blog full time and doesn’t earn at all from blogging.

Do you want to question that? I had a friend some years back who has passion for blogging, this young man blogged for 2 years without earning anything form blogging. He was experienced and expert in SEO optimization. Do we now say he was a pro blogger?

2. A blogger that has huge traffic stats or big email subscription list?

This has got me worried on several occasions when bloggers with thousands of subscribers brag about it and by so doing that’s calling themselves a pro blogger.

  3. A blogger that is popular in social medium and blogging community?

Do you really thing been a pro blogger goes in line with social medium popularity? Don’t beat that, we have so many bloggers that sticks to social medium and hasn’t gotten to expert level.

You need to know that we have lots of frustrating bloggers out there longing that one day, they’ll make money with their blog.

  4. A blogger that makes $50 a month?

Ah! This is it, we have several bloggers out there that makes $50 a month, and whereas we have those that make $5000 a month. So which among this two set of people is a pro blogger?

  5. A blogger that does all the listed points?

For sure, we have bloggers that are qualified and does all the listed point. And we believed they are pro blogger, but in a case we have a blogger that doesn’t meet up with all; like he makes money with his blog, but he doesn’t have huge traffic and he is not socially famous. Do we still regard him/her as a pro blogger?

Conclusively, according to the research I made. I was made to know that any person who is a blogger by profession and earning from the blogging is known as a pro blogger. Which means anyone that does other jobs with blogging and probably he calls himself a part-time blogger is not a pro blogger?

What I’m trying to clarify here is that having a huge and fat email listing, big social media shares and making thousands of dollars a day doesn’t make you a pro blogger, so far you have not make blogging a profession.

Lots of real pro bloggers don’t see themselves as pro blogger because they believe they stayed long, dedicated to blogging as a calling and still making few money with the blog. Stop getting intimated with the name “pro blogger”, it’s not about how much you make, it’s about how constant you blog and make a living.

Over to you

I know you have a different view from this, with my little knowledge I have said few and I want YOU to add more with your comments. Thanks. Please before you go, try and share this interesting post with a friend. They need to know who a pro blogger is. Enter your best email for latest update!

How to Create Custom Blogger blog Permalink

Hello ABC readers, how are you doing? I brought a very interesting blog post for your today, though it was requested by a reader but I found out that with the updated information I’ve gotten on this particular topic, it will certainly benefit every blogger.

blogger-custom-permalink

For a while now, I guess bloggers have become mute on SEO and most especially for blogger blogs. Everybody now talks about wordpress. From the research I did earlier this week, I still found out that the percentages at which people open new blogs on blogger platform is more than wordpress. So what are we now saying?

Also see: How to Optimize your blog title with H2 tag

Today a brought a topic that all bloggers think they know well about, but with the update I added, you need to read this. Blogger permalink is a very good means of ranking your keyword high, yes or yes? If you set your targeted keywords well, you’ll surely drive a massive traffic. Though, before we move ahead and learn how to use it for better SEO of your Blogger blog, let’s learn more about Permalink:

What are custom Permalink?

Talking from BlogSpot blog’s perceptive, this is a situation whereby you set your targeted keywords in a Google link subway. See one example below.

Here is an example of normal Permalink vs Custom permalink:

In the second example, I’ll like to talk more on Keyword Blogger Custom permalink, and that’s why I removed all other Keywords. Simple but very effective right?

blogger-custom-permalink

Before blogger got advanced, we had no means to configure/customize the Blogger permalink ,but in recent SEO addition, Blogger team make way for the availability of configuring permalink in BlogSpot blog. Unlike WordPress, where the permalink can be controlled on the site wide i.e. for all other posts.

How to set Blogger Permalink for better SEO

When the need arises for you to set the blogger permalink for individual blog post, all you need to do is to do away with URL that breaks in Google search, and use keywords in your permalink. You can target short-tail or long-tail Keywords, depending upon which Keyword you are targeting.

Now, when you write a Blog post in Blogger blog, just try and locate Permalink option, click on it, select custom URL and add your permalink there. I know for newbie, it may sounds like Arabic speech to add your own permalink, but I’ll expanciate more on it.

When you write a new blog post on your blog, and for example your title is How to customize your blogger blog permalink, by default BlogSpot will make a permalink like

http://domain.blogspot.com/yy/mm/how-to-customise-your-blogger-blog-permalink.html

Instead of you to use such long Permalink, you will simply add Blogger-custom-permalink or custom-permalink in custom URL. Remember, your Keywords are separated by ‘-‘(Dash).

If you need more information on the same, check out this video by Matt Cutts:

Note: Another thing, which you should keep in mind, don’t change your permalink after publishing an article (on any platform), unless you can set a 301 redirection or you’ll keep having error 301.

Over to You

If you still have any question in your mind regarding how to set custom permalink In blogger blogs, do let me know via comments and I will love to answer it.

Don’t leave this post without sharing it with you friends and followers on social media. And also out mail list is still wide open for those who wants to subscribe. Thanks for your time.

How to Make you Post Title appear before your Blog Title in Search Engines

post-title-before-blog-title

As for those using blogger platforms, I remember I said something one time like this, that we have lots of “behind the scenes” to blogging than what we see with our physical eyes. Do you know that one of the very cogent thing you must do after you have optimize your blogger’s blog is to be aware of the setbacks of blogger that will really slow down, or even hindered your traffic from booming like you’ve wanted.

This is actually a very simple and effective change, but it’s very important to your blog, in respect to the fact that you wanted to be a better blogger, and also you want to increase your blog’s visibility. I guess, this is what many people have not noticed, but I remember some few months ago when I initiated my blog posts for retweet on tweetlow, (a twitter platform that allows you to submit your post links for re-tweet). A friend actually pointed my attention to the fact that blog title (homepage) is coming before my post title, which actually made it difficult for people to tweet my post.

What are the side effects of your blog title coming before your post title?

1. However, since Google displays the first 66 characters, therefore due to the unnecessary occurrence of the blog title makes important keywords of the post title to be chopped off.

 2. Therefore, you get low traffic to your blog.

Check the screenshot below to understand what I’m saying:

Before the application of the code

blog-title

After you’ve applied the code

Post-title

Therefore, how can you make your posts title comes before your blog title?

1. Go to your blogger> click on design> Edit template

2. Make sure you backup your template before any correction.

3. Search for this code in your template:

<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>

 4. And replaced it with the below code:

<b:if cond=’data:blog.pageType == &quot;item&quot;’>
<title><data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/></title>
<b:else/>
<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>
</b:if>

5. Click on save, then you are done.

Now open you browser and search for your blog, then you now see that you post title will now come before you blog title.

5 Researched Reason Why Some Bloggers Refused to Guest Post

guest-post

The questions most of the time is; should we just be a part of a building team, write for pity or what we’ve always wanted is to get backlink that’ll increase our page rank? I believe these are some of the questions most bloggers battled with in their minds, which eventually which eventually keep some of them away from guest posting.

On several occasions, I have reads blogs that wrote on how to increase one’s blog visibility with guest posting, but with all this campaign and emphasis, some bloggers still never find their strength in guest posting on other blogs.

In case you never noticed, I did and for a while I’ve been researching on some reasons while you as a person refuse to guest post. Be it top level blog or average blogs.

Now let’s answer these following questions in our minds.
 Are you contented with your daily page views?
 Do you think you’ve built enough relationship with other bloggers?
 Is your blog exposed to the level you want?
 Have you gotten the page rank you desire?

Each and every one of these questions is turned to have one or two effects on your blogging strategy. I believe no blogger is never okay with his/her daily page views because we all want millions of daily visitors on our blog.

So also when we talk about page rank; we all want to have PR 9 like Facebook and Google right? And some newbies aspire to be like Darren Rowse, the CEO of problogger.net.

Therefore, if we all aspire and desire all these, then why have we all chose the part of not guest posting? The following reasons why some bloggers refuse to guest post was actually fetch out from interviews, and discussion I had with both new bloggers and few bloggers that already gotten their legs thatched in blogging industry.

The belief of having fewer articles on their blogs

Actually, I busted into laughter when I interacted with the first blogger. He told me that he only had few article published on his blog then why should he started writing for others. Hmm! That was how I exclaim when he finished talking.

Then I realize that this is actually the key reason why some bloggers are still not guest posting. They believe with the few articles they have in their archive, they’ll be publishing it one after the other and this can reduce their times of sitting down and writing every time.

More grease to the elbow of a young man, Adetechblog. He had few post on his blog, and he never consider this first point as a way to pull him off from guest posting, because he knows the efficacy of guest posting. My advice for you is to start guest posting on top blogs today if you’ve not started. Because there is more to it than what you see.

Fear of Rejection

I do tell people that “you cannot know what you can do, unless you try them”. Trying and self-belief is one of the key to success in life. You don’t have to take up fear, all because you want to guest post. Though some bloggers, especially the newbies are willing to be a guest blogger, but they are scared because they might be rejected by the top bloggers, all because they are not sure of their competency when it comes to writing. You need to keep trying until you get there, and don’t forget that practice makes perfection. Therefore keep on writing.

Time Schedule

I met with some bloggers and they said most times they find it difficult to update their blog because of time factor, therefore I can’t just guest post. I believe with good planning strategy, things can be done effectively where by your work will not be affected by your blogging.

Then if we are to follow this point, then everybody should be busy. But we still have some people that create time, out of no time to do what they love. I personally have passion for writing and blogging; therefore I have my personal time table which I follow every day. I think you should implement that too.

Ignorance

I need to tell you that some people are totally ignorant of guest posting and also the benefit attached to it. Most especially those bloggers that are not in blogging niche.

I think people needs to be told about the benefits of guest posting, because we have loads of benefits and advantages that you stand to gain from guest posting. Especially when you guest post on top blogs in your niche and which have high page rank.

Some of the benefits of guest posting are:
Increase in daily traffic
Blog exposure
You’ll have more subscribers
 Your backlink will increase
Then you’ll build a good relationship with top bloggers.

Lack of Direction

This point is also very vital in that most bloggers lack the direction on how to go about guest posting. I’m sure most blogs that does guest post have a page on their blog that gives the guideline on how you can go about guest posting.

Therefore, when you’ve gotten a top blog you’ll like to guest post for, read their likes and dislikes before you proceed in submitting your article to such blog. I believe I’m in line with the reasons why you decided not to guest post? Therefore, take it as a must today and start guest posting.

If you find this article informative, endeavor to share this post with your friends on Facebook  twitter etc. Always come back to read. It’s all about you.
